Every mix you upload becomes a labelled, dated version on that song, ready to play from its own waveform. You can rename and download any version, set which mix is active, and mark a final mix when the song is done.

Stems and supporting documents live on the same song. Lyrics, key, BPM, time signature, artwork, and workflow status sit alongside the audio, so the creative context never drifts into a separate folder.

Upload as many mix iterations as you need - rough demos through release masters - without renaming files or losing earlier takes. Attach individual stems (kick, bass, vocals, and the rest) and PDFs or chord sheets as supporting files.

Play any version at original quality: BandVolt never compresses your uploads. Move freely between the current mix and earlier versions whenever you need to revisit an idea or compare how the song has changed.

When versions live in chat threads and cloud folders, the band wastes time asking which file is current. A single song history means every member hears the same latest mix, can still pull an older take, and never loses the trail of how the track evolved.

Add an overall comment when the note applies to the whole song, or pin it to a precise playback timestamp when it belongs to a particular moment. Timestamped comments appear as markers on the waveform, and each comment is scoped to a specific mix version so feedback on v1 stays separate from feedback on v2.

Reply threads keep the conversation readable. @mentions notify band members (and song collaborators). Likes give a quick acknowledgement without adding noise.

Switch between timestamped and general comments, show only feedback attached to the active mix, and hide resolved threads to keep the current work in focus. You can also reply in threads, vote with likes, mark comments resolved once actioned, and navigate from notifications straight to the relevant song activity.

On Premium, invite an external musician or mix engineer to a single song without giving them the whole band workspace - they can leave timestamped feedback where it belongs.

Group chat is great for logistics and terrible for mix notes. "The bit before the last chorus" pins nothing. Timestamped, mix-scoped comments turn feedback into something the producer can act on without archaeology.

AI Mix Summary reads the unresolved comments on a mix and surfaces recurring themes as a prioritised action list. Overlapping notes are grouped; one-off noise is de-emphasised so the next session starts with a punch list, not a scroll through forty threads.

Each summary costs 1 Volt from the band's shared pool. Any tier with available Volts can run it - no separate AI subscription.

Generate a summary before a mix session, after a round of band feedback, or whenever the comment thread has grown past what anyone wants to re-read. Share the same distilled list with the whole band so everyone agrees on what "needs to change" means.

Choose a theme and accent colour, reorder or hide sections, and track total views plus views over the last 30 days. Add press quotes when you have them. When you want a draft, the optional AI bio writer spends 2 Volts per generation to polish bio, pitch, and tagline options.

Every person has their own BandVolt account - no shared login, no password in the pinned message. Roles are simple: Owner (band lifecycle) and Member (full shared workspace). Ownership can transfer cleanly if someone leaves.

Invite existing BandVolt users by username or anyone by email. Pending invites show in the notification centre. Revoke access any time so the roster matches who is actually in the band.

On Premium, invite external song collaborators - a mix engineer or guest musician - to a specific song without exposing the whole band workspace. Also on Premium, belong to unlimited bands if you play in more than one act or manage a roster.
