A promoter asks for your EPK. Your bio is in a Google Doc, the press shots are in someone else's Drive, the stage plot is in an email from last year, and the SoundCloud link may or may not still play. By the time you have zipped it all together, the booking conversation has moved on.

How the free EPK maker works

  1. Build it in your band workspace

Write your bio, tagline, and elevator pitch, pick featured tracks from your library for the waveform player, add photos and YouTube videos, and set your booking contact and social links. Flag gigs on the band calendar and they appear as upcoming shows automatically.

  2. Preview it

Choose a theme and accent colour, reorder or hide sections, and preview the page before anything goes live - so you see exactly what a promoter will see.

  3. Publish and send one link

Publish to your custom public URL and send that single link to bookers, press, and labels. Nobody needs an account to open it, and you can unpublish whenever you want.

What makes this EPK builder different

It stays current on its own. Most band press kits go stale because updating them is a separate chore nobody owns. Here, upcoming shows come from the gigs you flag on the band calendar and featured tracks come from your song library, so the page keeps up with work you were doing anyway.

Promoters never need an account. Anyone with the link can play your music, watch your videos, and find the booking contact without signing up for anything, on a phone or a laptop.

It is free, not another subscription. Plenty of EPK sites charge a monthly fee just to keep your page online. BandVolt's electronic press kit for bands is free on every tier, including the free Basic tier. If your band later wants more storage and more Volts, Premium is £9.99 a month for the whole band, not per person - and the EPK stays free either way.

Free EPK maker: common questions

Do I need to pay for an EPK?

No. BandVolt's EPK maker is free on every tier, including the free Basic tier, with no card required to sign up, and viewers do not need an account to open it. If your band later upgrades to Premium for more storage and Volts, it is £9.99 a month for the whole band, not per person, and the EPK stays free either way.

What can I put in my BandVolt EPK?

A bio, tagline, and elevator pitch, featured tracks from your library with a waveform player, a photo gallery, YouTube videos, press quotes, social links, a booking contact, and upcoming shows pulled from the gigs you flag on your band calendar. You can reorder or hide any section.

Do promoters need an account to view it?

No. Your EPK is a public page, so promoters, bookers, and journalists can open the link, play your tracks, and watch your videos without signing up for anything. Total views and views over the last 30 days show you whether the link is being opened.

Can I use my own URL?

You choose the end of the link: every EPK is published at app.bandvolt.com/epk/ followed by a slug you customise, such as your band name. Your own domain is not supported, but the result is one short, recognisable link to send to bookers, press, and labels.

Can I take my EPK offline?

Yes. You publish when you are ready and can unpublish whenever you want. If a promoter asks for a file rather than a link, open your published EPK in a browser and use Print, then Save as PDF, to get a copy you can attach to an email.

Does the EPK cost Volts?

No. Building, publishing, and sharing your EPK costs nothing. Only the optional AI bio writer uses Volts: 2 Volts per generation, from your band's monthly allowance of 10 Volts on Basic or 200 on Premium.
